Sanjh Sabera is a play that has generational conflict as its central theme. One of the dimensions of the conflict is that of values. The father, Shitla Prasad, is an embodiment of the old world values of honesty, generosity and trustworthiness. On the contrary, his son is motivated by mercenary values that serve the time. The most poignant play is when both of their paths cross each other, and the father is prepared to uphold his beliefs, even at the cost of his own life.
